This guide is designed to help you understand all the steps required to get set up with PatientNotes are ready for your first consult.

Start first by watching the video below, where Darren will take you through the process of creating your account and exploring how to set yourself up for success with PatientNotes.

A step-by-step guide

1. Click on Log in →

2. Enter your work email address and password

4. Type the Patient name

6. Ask the patient to consent to recording the session, and click on Agree.

Suggested language as you show them the terms on the page:
"May I have your permission to use encrypted and secure voice-to-text transcription for our consultation today?"

7. Click on Start recording and continue your consultation as you normally would.

9. The A.I. will generate draft clinical notes. This should take no longer than 30 seconds.

10. Give feedback on the notes: thumbs up for "good" or thumbs down if something wasn't quite right.

11. When you are satisfied, click "Mark as complete". This will also copy the notes to your clipboard, so you can paste them directly into your PMS / EHR system.

12. The A.I. will now take your finalised Clinical notes and generate a Patient Summary.

13. If you are happy with the summary, click on "Mark as complete". This will copy the Patient Summary to your clipboard and you can paste it into an email to your patient, or into your PMS.

14. If you would like to generate a Medical Letter, select the type of Medical Letter from the dropdown menu.

15. Type the name of the person the letter is to in the "To" field.

16. Click on Generate Letter

17. Edit the letter if required. When you are satisfied, select "Mark as complete". This will copy the Patient Summary to your clipboard and you can paste it into an email, or into your PMS if required.
